Elise’s getting ready was filled with so many sentimental things from her home, like her mum’s wedding album. There was also no shortage of framed bible verses.

A thoughtful detail I noticed was the colour consistency of the pajamas, flowers and dresses across the bridesmaids.

After getting dressed, Elise had a first look with her dad and bridesmaids and you can just tell how immensely proud of a father he was.

When Elise’s dad went in for the hug, my eyes watered up. I actually rarely tear up at things, which goes to show how emotional this moment was.

We arrived at Hillsong Chapel for the wedding ceremony, where the cool AC freshened everyone up.

Sam was waiting for his bride at the front of the church. The modern and sleek architecture of Hillsong Chapel surrounded him.

And then the aisle door opened.

Elise was held by her Mum and Dad, who both carried the look of two, incredibly proud parents.

The ceremony was so sweet yet flew by in a flash. It wasn't long before we were at Sam’s Nan’s place for the bridal party photoshoot.

This was also the very place that Sam’s parents got married many years ago, so this place was an intentionally chosen place with lots of sentiment.

While the bridal party was having some down time, I had a look around the property and found a patch of shade for our photos. After guiding them to the spot, everything unfolded exactly as it needed to, and we snagged a lot of fun photos.

I was most surprised when the groomsmen brought out real, metal swords. That made for some candid, funny photos that will probably make it to my top list of unique fun photos I’ve taken.

The reception was at Cropley House in Baulkham Hills. Elise and Sam didn’t initially think to get sunset photos but we planned that during our wedding schedule session, and the gazebo photo looks amazing.

Also, how good is that entrance photo of them. I love it.

This was overall a day I was extremely grateful to be a part of and help capture all the sentimental moments and the love story between Sam and Elise.
